Success in the mortgage industry begins with relationships.
At ALCOVA, the importance of relationships starts at our very core. Our company didn’t start with sophisticated Wall Street investors or marbled-columned banks—it started with a relationship—three friends who met playing ball as kids. The trio dreamed of owning a business, and shortly after college they joined to establish a mortgage company—ALCOVA—an acronym for Alleghany County, VA, in honor of where they grew up together.

Our mission to simplify the mortgage process is felt at every level.
We don’t have layers of middle-managers. Our sales team can connect directly to the help they need—all the way up to our owners. We don’t have complex webs of bureaucracy. We focus on solving problems as a team. We tend to attract those who embrace the entrepreneurial spirit—so when someone gets an idea at ALCOVA, we listen…and work together to implement a plan of action.

From our humble beginnings in southwestern Virginia, ALCOVA has demonstrated sustainable and measured growth based on our belief in relationships. In 2008, ALCOVA weathered one of the largest financial downturns in American history only to expand and grow stronger. In 2012, ALCOVA Mortgage made its debut on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States and has been recognized eight times since then. As our industry has seen ups and downs in the 2020s, we continue to see unprecedented growth.
